Kia ora koutou from
Monique Palmer and all the ACE students in A6
Welcome to our new junior
team, Pukehāngi, with a special welcome to those families that are new to
Glenholme School. I am ready for an
exciting year in A6 and looking forward to all the wonderful events coming up.
We are already busy in our classrooms, getting
our reading, writing and maths programmes up and running, so hopefully everyone will have their stationery so they can participate in all the learning activities.
I'm really looking forward to our science investigation this term which is Geology and the study of Rocks. We will be collecting interesting rocks or
fossils. Please bring in to share with
the class. If there is anyone available
to share information with our tamariki it would be greatly appreciated.
On March 11th,
week 5, the Pukehāngi team will be visiting Paratehoata-Te Kōhea Marae in Ohinemutu. This is for our tamariki to experience marae
protocol, to become familiar with the area’s history and observe the unique
geology of the area. Watch this space!!
Thanks for the updated pictures and activities in the class room. Pauline (Izzy's nana).
